First Blog Post
A personal intro post. Thoughts on starting a blog, SEO rabbit holes, and marking the last day of university lectures.
First Blog Post
Hello, World!
This is the first actual, human generated, blog post on this website.
I’m not sure what this site will end up being. The initial vision is just a personal portfolio website, the blog is a little asterix I’m adding for now.
The YouTuber Ali Abdaal (https://aliabdaal.com/) is who finally convinced me to start this blog. Not personally of course, but through his videos. He says that even if you have nothing in particular to say it is important to exercise that muscle and ideas will come. Blogging has also always been part of something I’ve wanted to add to my repertoire. I look forward to do the day when I can paste an amazon affiliate link into a blog post and make thousands of euros.
I hope this blog will act as a way for me to structure my thoughts as well as be an agglomeration of things I’ve learned. Normally I’ve never considered myself a good teacher however in recent years I’ve found myself successfully breaking down large ideas for others and explaining them. I’d like to do the same here.
I’ve dove head first into SEO without any content and it’s a bottomless pit of voodoo science. I will reassess once consistent content is being put out, no need to go crazy on it initially.
Today is officially the last day of university lectures (23rd of April 2021) for me, forever. Or until I decide to do a masters. I still have a few assignments and an exam, as well as my thesis to finish up (blog post coming on this soon). It doesn’t feel real yet.
If you read this, shoot me an email, I’d love to know how you came across this even if you’re reading this years later.
